This year I have been to Thailand, France, Belgium... and will be going to Germany and Holland in July. No big deal. I want to visit Thailand again in November and if possible go to the Dominican Republic and Sri Lanka, both of which have long been in my book of intentions. And of course I live my life in the autumn of my years. I am outstripped by my wife who goes to the USA next week, and has already been, this year, to Thailand Cambodia, France and Germany. I shall catch her up. At this time we travel separately because of the dog. She will not have it kenneled and if she did, I would not. So that is it. And of course I shall write about these things  There are two other matters.

First, this week alone, I have seen on television and read in the newspapers so much horror reported that I think I must add some of it to my blog, at least to let anyone who gets to read me to also pick these matters up. Second, I have always liked to write and still do. And some of that will see the light of day though these pages.  Anyway... that is my, shall we say, clumsy mission statement.
